Why Incoloy 800 / 800H / 800HT Sheets & Plates Are Ideal for High-Temperature Applications

Jade Alloys who are a reputable manufacturer and exporter of Nickel Alloy product also provides high quality Incoloy 800, 800H and 800HT sheets and plates which are used in heat resistant and high temperature applications.

These alloys (UNS N08800 / N08810 / N08811) have superior oxidation, carburization, and corrosive resistance; the structural strength of these alloys is not diminished even at the long-term exposure to heat.

Our Nickel Alloy 800 series plates are offered in hot-rolled finish, cold-rolled finish, and also in satin finish and they are made with tight dimensional accuracy. Our Nickel-Iron-Chromium alloy products are available as sheets in the form of rolls, flats, and in chequered form that is used in industrial furnaces, heat exchangers, boilers, and power generation units.

To ensure quality and tracing, the materials are supplied by Mill Test Certificate (MTC) and conform to the international supply requirements of export and engineering purposes.

What is an Incoloy 800 / 800H / 800HT Plate?

Incoloy 800 is a type of nickel-iron-chromium alloy that has been designed to provide excellent strength and stability at high temperatures. It is well known to have its structure and mechanical integrity even when subjected to constant heat or stress. The alloy has high oxidation and scaling resistance, which means that it can be used under high-temperature exchangers, reformers, and furnace components.

Incoloy 800H and Incoloy 800HT are developed out of the 800 alloy and are designed to have greater mechanical and thermal stability over time. The H grade has a slightly better grade of carbon which enhances the creep and rupture strength and the HT grade has well regulated contents of titanium and aluminum that makes it better suited to operate in high temperatures. Collectively, these alloys span a wide spectrum of industrial environments in which heat, pressure, and corrosion resistance are extremely important.

The one attribute that makes the Incoloy 800 series unique is that it is capable of maintaining its austenitic structure even after exposure to high temperatures. It can be scaled and deformed unlike normal stainless steels, it is resistant to scaling and deformation allowing it to keep its clean surface and dimensional accuracy after repeated thermal cycling. This is the reason why this property qualifies it as the best property to be used by engineers who need to design systems that can withstand continuous change in temperature without any degradation in the materials.

In addition to its technical benefits, the Nickel Alloy 800 sheets/plates have great fabrication properties. They are easily welded, shaped or machined through standard industrial methods hence making it easy to produce in small scale projects. It is this versatility that causes fabricators and EPC contractors to turn to Incoloy 800 series alloys when accurate and reliable performance is indispensable.

Every grade of this series, Incoloy 800, 800H and 800HT, can be found in international standard grade and supplied with full documentation, with Mill Test Certificates (MTC) to enable tracing/authentication of materials. These certificates confirm that the alloy is of the right quality in terms of all the necessary chemical and mechanical parameters, which are consistent in each consignment.

Due to excellent durability and heat resistant ability, Incoloy 800 plates and sheets are utilized worldwide in industries whereby materials are constantly in contact with hot gases and corrosion elements. They are particularly popular in heaters of the refinery, petrochemical furnaces, and process piping systems. In such applications, the 800H and 800HT grades are commonly selected due to their long-life expectancy, and provide an economical operation in the long term.

Being a reliable manufacturer and exporter of Incoloy 800 in India, Jade Alloys guarantees that all its products meet the global standards, and at the same time, customers get quality products in good time. To meet its domestic and export needs, the company provides Nickel Alloy 800H and 800HT sheets and plates in diverse sizes and finishes on the surface such as hot rolled, cold rolled, and satin finishes.

Jade Alloys offers engineering and industrial solutions to the problem of a dependable supplier of heat conductive Incoloy 800 series plates. All orders are supported by quality tests, ISO certification, and specific technical support – so that all shipments can be delivered according to the performance requirements of your project

FAQs About Incoloy 800 / 800H / 800HT Sheets & Plates

Q1. What is the price of Incoloy 800?
Incoloy 800 sheets and plates will cost between 10 and 15 dollars per kg depending on thickness, finish and quantity ordered. The price of bulk purchasing of Incoloy 800H and Incoloy 800HT may change, as they are developed with higher-temperature resistance. Jade Alloys would be happy to provide buyers with a customized Mill Test Certificate (MTC)-driven quote of the precise export pricing and logistics details.
Q2. What is the specification of Incoloy 800?
Incoloy 800 also satisfies the standard of ASTM B409 / ASME SB409 and is called UNS N08800. It is a Nickel-Iron- Chromium alloy that is characterized by high strength and resistance to oxidation, scaling and carburization. They are commonly available in sheets, plates, coils, and shims supplied in hot-rolled, cold-rolled and satin finishes.
Q3. What is the difference between Incoloy 800 and Alloy 800?
No distinction is made between Incoloy 800 and Alloy 800 which is the same alloy of Nickel-Iron-Chromium. This material series is registered as Incoloy, whereas its international generic name is Alloy 800.
Q4. What is the difference between Incoloy 800 and 800H?
The carbon rate is marginally higher than that of the standard Incoloy 800 grade in Incoloy 800H. Such modification improves creep and rupture strength, and Incoloy 800H is more applicable in applications with high stress and high temperature, like reformer tubes, heat exchangers, and furnace parts.
Q5. What is the difference between Incoloy 800 and 840?
Both are Nickel-Iron-Chromium alloys, with the Incoloy 840 containing more chromium and iron, which means that it will be more resistant to oxidation and corrosion in some settings. Incoloy 800 is more stable and structurally sound at higher temperatures, and Incoloy 840 is frequently utilized as a heating component and exhaust component.
Q6. What is Incoloy 800 used for?
Petrochemical heaters, furnaces, heat exchangers, steam superheaters, and chemical processing equipment are some of the common applications of incoloy 800 sheets and plates. It is suitable in components that spend a long time in high temperatures due to its resistance to scaling and deformation under thermal pressure that is exhibited by the alloy.
