By raising chromium to around 25% and balancing nickel, molybdenum and nitrogen, these bars hold a near 50/50 microstructure of ferrite and austenite. That dual-phase structure is what gives a super duplex round bar roughly twice the yield strength of austenitic 304/316 while delivering elite resistance to chloride pitting, crevice attack and stress corrosion cracking.
