An Inconel round bar is a solid cylindrical section produced by hot rolling, forging, cold drawing or centreless grinding from a nickel-base superalloy. Inconel 600 is a nickel-chromium-iron alloy chosen for high-temperature and chloride stress-corrosion resistance. Inconel 625 adds molybdenum and niobium, giving significantly higher strength (930 MPa vs 655 MPa tensile) and much better resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion and acids at a higher price.

7. Is Inconel round bar magnetic?

Most Inconel grades, including Inconel 600 and 625, are essentially non-magnetic in the annealed condition due to their austenitic nickel-base structure.
