Incoloy 825, a nickel alloy enriched with molybdenum, titanium, niobium, and chromium, boasts a high nickel content, which provides exceptional resistance to chloride ion and stress corrosion cracking. The alloy also performs superbly against both oxidizing and non-oxidizing hot acids. The titanium enhances its ability to withstand intergranular attack, even after fabrication. Incoloy 825 exhibits excellent weldability and maintains robust mechanical strength from room temperature up to 550°C. To prevent intergranular corrosion during welding, these Incoloy 825 sheets are stabilized and annealed at the mill.

The primary distinction between Incoloy 825 sheets and plates is thickness: sheets range from 0.3mm to 4mm, while plates are from 4mm to 75mm. An annealed Incoloy 825 plate typically has a minimum tensile strength of 662MPa and a minimum yield strength of 338MPa, while an annealed Alloy 825 Sheet offers a minimum tensile strength of 758MPa and a minimum yield strength of 421MPa. Nickel Alloy 825 strips are narrower versions used for pipe fabrication and lining.
The ASTM B424 UNS N08825 sheet can perform exceptionally well at temperatures up to 870°C.
