About Nylock Jam Nuts
Nylock Jam Nuts are thin-profile hexagonal lock nuts featuring a specialized nylon collar insert that creates prevailing torque to resist turning. Designed for applications with limited clearance, Nylock Jam Nuts are also widely known as thin nylock nuts, nylon insert jam nuts, or thin nylon stop nuts.
These fasteners are ideal for securing bolting joints against vibration where a standard height nylock nut would be too bulky. However, please note that due to the thermal properties of the nylon insert, they are not suitable for high-temperature environments. At Jade Alloys, our nylock jam nut dimensions are available in both metric and imperial sizes, including UNC, UNF, and ISO metric thread profiles. We produce these across all material categories, including stainless steel, carbon steel, and high-tensile alloys, meeting all major ASTM specifications.
