About Square Thin Nuts
Square Thin Nuts, commonly manufactured to DIN 562 standards, are low-profile, four-sided fasteners with a thickness typically half that of standard square nuts. Much like hex jam nuts, Thin Square Nuts are often coupled with a standard square nut, where they are "jammed" together to create a mechanical lock, holding the assembly securely in place even under vibration.
These fasteners are ideal for space-restricted applications where a standard height nut would be too bulky.
