About Heavy Hex Nuts
Heavy Hex Nuts are oversized hexagonal nuts that are purposely designed to generate high strength structural and industrial bolting. These would be known as Heavy Hexagon Nuts or large hex nuts, which are intended to be used with heavy hex bolts or studs in high pressure and high temperature applications.
The Heavy Hexagonal Nuts are much thicker and wider throughout the flats compared to the standard hex nuts. This increased body mass allows for a larger thread engagement area and higher wrenching torque, supplying the necessary strength to maintain the integrity of a bolting joint under extreme stress. As leading heavy hex nut manufacturers, Jade Alloys produces these fasteners in both metric and imperial sizes with various thread profiles including UNC, UNF, and ISO metric.
