About Shoulder Bolts
Shoulder Bolts, also widely known as Stripper Bolts or Hex Socket Shoulder Bolts, are unique precision fasteners featuring a smooth, unthreaded shank (shoulder) between the head and the threaded portion. The diameter of this shoulder is larger than the threaded end, serving as a pivot point or guide for rotating parts.
The primary function of the non-threaded shoulder is to act as an axle or dowel, allowing for the rotation of attached components in mechanical assemblies, engines, pulleys, and die sets. Stripper bolts are available in various head designs, including round plain, knurled, low profile, or standard hex heads. At Jade Alloys, we manufacture shoulder bolts in both Metric and Imperial sizes with UNC, UNF, UN, and ISO metric threads. Our bolts are available in high-tensile grades such as F568 Grade 8.8, 10.9, and 12.9, as well as corrosion-resistant stainless steel.
