Hastelloy Pipes and Tubes Supplier & Exporter in India

Jade Alloys manufactures, stocks and exports the complete family of Hastelloy pipes and tubes for the world’s most punishing corrosion and high-temperature service. Every Hastelloy pipe and tube leaves our Mumbai facility made from fully traceable nickel-alloy stock, solution-annealed, and inspected against international specifications, so what you order is exactly what arrives.

Hastelloy is a group of nickel-molybdenum and nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloys built to perform where stainless steel fails, including strong acids, wet chlorine, chlorides, sour gas and hot process streams. Their high molybdenum and chromium content forms a stable, self-healing passive layer that resists pitting, crevice corrosion and chloride stress-corrosion cracking in both oxidising and reducing conditions, while keeping the ductility, strength and weldability that fabricators rely on. Because a single grade such as C276 performs across so many media, it can replace several lesser materials in one plant, simplify inventory and cut unplanned downtime.

These alloys are strong and work-harden quickly, so machining calls for sharp tooling and controlled feeds and speeds, all readily achievable with the right equipment. Welding is well proven: gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW/TIG) and gas metal arc welding (GMAW/MIG) are standard, and correct interpass control plus, where specified, post-weld solution annealing preserve corrosion resistance and mechanical properties in the joint. Our low-carbon grades are engineered to hold their corrosion resistance even in the as-welded condition.

Hastelloy pipes and tubes are indispensable wherever aggressive chemistry meets heat and pressure, from chemical reactors and heat exchangers to corrosive-fluid pipelines, valves, offshore drilling equipment, power generation, pollution control and desalination. Across chemical processing, oil and gas refining, pharmaceutical manufacturing and aerospace engineering, they deliver the reliability, safety and long service life that keep critical infrastructure running.

As one of India’s trusted Hastelloy tubing suppliers, Jade Alloys backs every order with ready stock in the popular C276 and C22 grades, custom fabrication for special sizes and less common grades, complete EN 10204 3.1 / 3.2 documentation and on-time worldwide despatch, whether you need a single seamless pipe for a heat-exchanger repair or a bulk export lot of welded tube for a new plant.

How Hastelloy Pipes and Tubes Are Made

01

Melting & casting

Nickel and alloying elements are melted in an electric-arc / VOD furnace and cast into billet or plate.

02

Forming & welding

Billets are pierced and drawn for seamless product; plate is rolled and welded (TIG / laser / HF) for welded product.

03

Heat treatment

Solution annealing relieves forming and welding stresses and restores full corrosion resistance.

04

Cold drawing

Cold drawing over dies and plugs delivers tight tolerances, uniform microstructure and a fine surface finish.

05

Finishing & testing

Pickling, PMI, hydrostatic and NDT checks, marking, and export-grade packing before despatch.

Frequently Asked Questions - Hastelloy Pipes and Tubes

1. What are Hastelloy pipes and tubes used for?

Hastelloy pipes and tubes are nickel-base alloy products used wherever corrosion is severe and temperatures are high — chemical and petrochemical processing, oil and gas and sour-gas service, flue-gas desulfurisation, seawater and marine systems, heat exchangers, pharmaceutical and pulp-and-paper plants, and pollution control. They resist both oxidising and reducing media that would attack stainless steel.

2. Which Hastelloy grades do you supply as pipe and tube?

Jade Alloys stocks and supplies Hastelloy C276 (UNS N10276) and Hastelloy C22 (UNS N06022) as standard, plus B2 (N10665), B3 (N10675), C4 (N06455) and X (N06002) on request. Each is available as seamless, welded and ERW pipe and tube.

3. What is the difference between Hastelloy C276 and C22?

Hastelloy C276 has higher molybdenum (15–17%), giving excellent resistance in reducing acids, while Hastelloy C22 has higher chromium (20–22.5%) for superior performance in oxidising media and a higher pitting-resistance margin. C276 is the more economical general-purpose grade; C22 costs more but handles strongly oxidising and mixed-acid service better.

4. What is the price of Hastelloy pipe?

Hastelloy pipe price depends on grade (C276, C22, B2, B3, X), size, wall thickness, manufacturing route (seamless vs welded), quantity and prevailing nickel and molybdenum prices. Because these move daily, Jade Alloys quotes live pricing against your exact specification — send your grade, size, schedule and quantity for a same-day estimate.

5. What standards do Hastelloy pipes and tubes conform to?

Seamless pipe and tube are supplied to ASTM B622 / ASME SB622, welded pipe to ASTM B619 / ASME SB619, and welded tube to ASTM B626 / ASME SB626. Dimensions follow ASME, ASTM and API, and every order ships with EN 10204 3.1 / 3.2 mill test certificates.

6. Do you supply both seamless and welded Hastelloy tubes?

Yes. We supply seamless tube (drawn from a solid billet for maximum integrity in high-pressure, highly corrosive service) and welded / ERW / EFW tube (economical, available in larger diameters and longer lengths for moderate-pressure duty), along with cold-drawn, electropolished, U-bend and coiled forms.

7. Are Hastelloy pipes suitable for seawater and sour gas service?

Yes. Hastelloy C276 and C22 resist pitting and crevice corrosion in seawater and sulfide stress cracking in sour service, and are widely specified to NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 for offshore, subsea and sour-gas oil and gas applications.
